What notes are, how you get them, and what you can do with them.
The number at the top of the screen is what you have left. Notes are not a feed. They are the bank you spend on the crate: liner notes, a recommend after the free one. Month-notes refill if you are a member. Golden notes never expire.
Two kinds
- Notes — this month’s bank on a membership, plus the few every new listener starts with. They spend first.
- Golden notes — they never expire. Invites, shop doors, leftover month-notes, packs you buy, 10 when you join yearly. Spent after this month’s bank is gone.
What you can do with them
- Write liner notes — one note, one album, once. After that the jacket stays on the shelf. Liner Notes User Guide.
- Recommend a copy — one free send a day for members. After that, one note. Recommend User Guide.
- Vouched is not a bid and not a leaderboard. Write the liner notes (3 points) or recommend the record (1 point each time). Highest total holds Vouched. A tie keeps whoever already holds it. Spins do not count — we cannot know if you really played it.
How you get them
- Join — 3 notes to start.
- A friend can send ten from their account. If you are new, you get those ten on top of the starting notes. They get ten golden notes when you join.
- A record shop door — join from a partner shop’s page and you get 10 golden notes.
- Membership — 40 notes every month. Up to 10 leftover become golden when the month turns. Manage billing is on your account.
- Yearly membership — 10 golden notes when you join the year.
- Buy golden notes from the liner notes page: $5 · 40 golden; $10 · 100 golden; $20 · 250 golden; $30 · 500 golden; $50 · 1,000 golden; $100 · 2,500 golden.
- A gift code — redeem it on liner notes when a record is on.
- A gifted recommend — if you put that copy on tonight, those liner notes are on us. No note spent.
